NEW Ergonomics Regulation in South Africa:  Did you know: South Africa has a NEW Ergonomics Regulation, which forms part of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act (85 of 1993)? This was published in December 2019, thereby legislating ALL ergonomics in South Africa! This means that, by law, Any employer or self-employed person who may expose any person to ergonomic risks in the workplace; or Any person who designs, manufactures, supplies or imports machinery, plant or work systems for use at a workplace; is now required to comply with these regulations and implement an Ergonomics Assessment program every two years and maintain the use of ergonomic equipment, such as the use of a DeskStand!
